Your first antenatal visit in Sharjah: what to expect
The first pregnancy visit can feel like a big unknown. It doesn't need to. Here's exactly what happens, so you can walk in knowing what to expect.
The consultation
Your first visit starts with a relaxed conversation with our female gynaecologist about your health history, any medication you take, your last period and how you've been feeling.
This is the moment to ask anything. There's no such thing as a silly question when it's your first pregnancy.
The ultrasound and blood test
An early ultrasound helps confirm the pregnancy and check how far along you are. For many parents it's the first glimpse of their baby.
A complete blood count (CBC) checks for things like anaemia. Because the lab is in the same clinic, it's usually done in the same visit.
Our current first-visit package brings the consultation, ultrasound and CBC together (advertised at AED 49; please confirm the current price when you book).
When to book
It's a good idea to have your first visit in the early weeks, once you have a positive test. We're open seven days a week, so you can pick a time that suits you.
